To honor the officers, the church gave each one a personal gift, and gave plaques to the three departments that regularly patrol the Brookville community. They were there to be honored on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, the first celebration of its kind in Brookville history. While their purpose was serious, it wasn’t a disaster that had brought them to the church. The driver, Clayton Cooper, age 25 of Phillipsburg, Ohio, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The vehicle traveled across the creek, striking the opposite bank. on October 15, 2022, a 2021 Polaris RZR utility vehicle was traveling eastbound through a field off of Pansing Road when it encountered a creek on the property.
